Kimberly is currently accepting elementary voice students.

Kimberly is currently accepting piano students of all ages and abilities. Lessons are fun and creative as Kim believes that making music should first and foremost be fun! Students receive a well-rounded musical education, including ear training, technique, performance skills, memorization, musical interpretation, improvisation, and theory. Kim also teaches adult students who want to pursue music casually and purely for pleasure without necessarily taking exams.

Early childhood music education has numerous benefits, from improving language and communication skills to overall development; changes in the brain that last a lifetime. It helps build social, emotional, cognitive, and stress management skills, improves memory, strengthens impulse control, builds school readiness and confidence, as well as sets the foundation for instrument-specific learning. In addition, it is shown to increase preschoolers and kindergarteners’ pre-math and pre-literacy abilities. As ninety per cent of brain development occurs before age five, early childhood is an essential time for children to develop pathways between different parts of their brain; music and movement stimulate all areas of the brain simultaneously. Research shows that music learning has an exponential effect on all learning. In addition, early childhood music education helps instill a love and enthusiasm for music by normalizing it at a young age.
